1967 F100, 352/3spd, short bed: I'm getting water (rain) splashing off the top of the firewall onto the air filter housing, etc. There's a long row of empty holes, about 1/4" dia. across the top of the firewall. Is there supposed to be some kind of gutter or drip rail attached here? is it sheet metal?
There is a peice of WEATHER STRIP that makes a seel betwen the fire wall and the hood. Most all of these trucks are missing it. J.C. Whitney has a replacement.
It's technically called a "cowl lacing kit". I got mine from Dennis Carpenter. $15.00. Has the clips already installed. Just clicked right into those holes. Took all of 30 seconds.
Re the Dennis Carpenter kit, I also bought it but was disappointed in that half the clips were misaligned and it was a chore getting it in. DennisC usually has high quality parts though.
