i have a 89 diesel 4x4 5 spd 4:10 gears 200000miles and when i let out the clutch undr load i have this knoking sound as the wheels are moving it keeps going until i get up some speed then i dont know if its there or not but i dont feel or hear it, the transfer case was rebuilt not long ago so any idea on where to look first and what it would be

Since you just had work done, time to recheck anything that was unbolted.
I take it this isn't a knock that starts slow and builds in speed as you accelerate? If it knocks a few times as you get underway, look for loose mounts or crossmember. If it builds in speed, look again at driveshaft and axle.
This sounds like a minor problem now, anything you can do to speed the discovery will most likely save you a major problem or worse.
