Randy Jack & Brewster,

If'n it don't work at least I got someone else to blame

My local auto parts store (that gives me "garage price" ) has Evercoat products and had the metalglaze in stock. Expensive, but nothin's too good for Euphemia.

I managed to get all the UV crap scraped off, so a few more evenings and I should be back to where I was when I put the UV crap on....

Should be glazing by the weekend.....

Thanks guys,

Hey that is interesting, if you turn it the other way you could have a smiley face. I am not that creative when it comes to that type of work.

Hey Cuz,.

that is one seriously cool grill..... don't let the nay-sayers sway you... it's a one off and I like it... I can appreciate cool... I have a cool MII front suspension

And doing it over is what 'we' cool talented guys do...

the nasty old UV stuff... well you just forget it... probably something to do with sunspot cycles or harmonic unresonance or at the very least bad karma for something you thought about 'fenders... it's all over now !!! long live Evercoat

keep the faith Cuz... it's hard being a visionary... trust me I know,.... boy do I know

later

Cuz John (too cool for ??? well, just too cool)

"Firstly, apologies to ‘fenders. I didn’t read your initial response carefully enough and assumed you were busting my chops"

Keep assuming I'm busting your chops and you'll have a batting average high enough to make the hall of fame. I miss your presence on the forum. Few can take a good kidney punch and fight back like you can.

Evercoat "or Effie in a can" as it is affectionately known by some of us, is a good bet. And let your lesson be to avoid any automotive restoration product that isn't dangerous if inhaled.

Robert,

I am always impressed by people's imagination when it comes to making unique body mods. Where did you get tihe idea to use the Pontiac grill??

And Evercoat is the way to go - all I use to fill in the small depressions left after Rage.

Rchassie,

I stole the idea from Jim Richmond. His 54 was featured in one of the magazines about a year ago. I fell in love with it. The only difference with mine is in the short single bars area between the headlight buckets and the fish mouth in the center, I'll be sinking flush mount LED signal lights about 1/2 " high by 2.75" long.

'fenders,

"avoid any automotive restoration product that isn't dangerous if inhaled"

I hear you brother! This past weekend I musta taken about 3 yrs off my life - between sanding bondo, sanding an old painted dresser and power carving a duck's head on a walking stick (Xmass presents), my lungs are filled to the brim with dust...oh ya, and cigarette breaks....

Later,

Huronfarmer,

"its just waayyyyyy to much work for me "

You're lookin at it the wrong way. Look at it as an interesting alternative to spending time with the wife.
