I am going to be installing a limited slip unit into the Explorer in a couple of weeks and then I will be having a re-match!

Let us know! Again, with limited slip, make sure and use your brakes if you start to slip!

Rematch...Ford dominates!!

I got the limited slip installed, and took the truck to the same spot where the original confrontation occurred. This time though the ground was wet where it had been raining all day. I took my Ford to an even steeper grade to make it more challanging! Well, I left the 4 wheel drive selector in automatic (where-as the Chevy was locked in four wheel drive) pulled up to the hill (no running start) gave it a little gas and up we went without even breaking traction!! Man, what a difference. I am running a 4.10 LS rear with the eight clutch carrier. The Ford has a higher riding height, a more truck-like ride, and a firmer shifting transmission compared to the Chevy. As far as I am concerned: Ford versus Chevy, Chevy LOSES!!
