Hi Guys
I recently got a 76 F150 from gramps w/ 60k original miles. The speedo recently started jumping wildly up to 30 mph indicated and then it smooths out and by comparison of another vehicle it shows 10mph higher than actual. Any fixes for this?

I am looking for body parts on my old 76 F150(bed mostly) and also my 70 F350(fr fenders) any ood places to get these. Living in KCMO area.
Also would like to install a new radio(AM/FM CD Cassete etc). are there any out ther that fit the old rectangle w/ 2 **** holes that would make it look somewhat stock?

my speedo was doin that at about 75k. once I hit 100k, the cable broke. Its just worn out. They go for about 75 bucks from a dealer. Also, I took my two **** radio out of my 79, and put a plain jane panasonic caseete deck in there no problem. There is about an 1/8th inch clearance on either side, but it looks and sounds great!
yeah my speedo was jumpy at low speeds, and when the cable resting on the hot exhaust caught on fire I had to replace it. Afterwards the speedo worked like new, I think I bought it a The Zone, maybe for $20
Thanks,
I would have thought a cable to be throughout all the speeds but thats just my way of thinking I guess! I'll give her a try. Thanks.

P.S. send us some warmth! its coldddddd
A lot of times the speedo cable needs to be greased/lubed when it's jumping like that. You can actually remove the cable from the sleeve to lubricate it. This will typically fix the problems you're having and it'll prolong the life of your cable instead of you having to pay $$ for a new one.
