Stupid grand am!

I went to the repair shop to get an alinement (sp sorry) done on my mothers grand pain in the but the yester day . After a short while they called me back into the shop then the guy (with the car jacked up) grabbed ahold of the of the right front tire and he moved it side to side and in and out . I asked him how much it would cost to have the struts and mounting plates replaced , they said 500 bux . After I got done laughing I said ok how much will you charge just to take the spring off the old strut and put it on the new strut then I`ll change the struts myself. They said 52 bux per strut then I said ok give me the keys and I`ll be getting back to you on that. When I got home I told my mother about what was said and she about crapped her pants . I called the parts store and they said it would be 46 bux per strut and 59 bux for the mounting plate (I only need the right mounting plate) .

Well that was all yester day , today at noon I welded in the main patch panel (the one that go`s under the front leaf spring bracket) on my jeeps frame , welded the bracket onto the patch panel , bolted the leaf spring back on , put the tire back on and got the engin to run before 3:00. I went to drive the jeep out of the car port and over to my sisters (next door) so that I could work on the pos grand am , but the engin stalled right after I got it out of the car port (@%$#!^&*+&$%^#@!) , the fuel pump is bad so after the fuel bowl on the carb go`s dry the enging go`s back to sleep. I took the top of the carb off (again) to fill it back up , this time I almost got it into my sisters parking spot but still in the road (@%$#!^&*+&$%^#@!) , so I took the top of the carb off (again) to fill it back up . YeeeeHaaawwww I finaly made it into my sister parking spot !!!!!!!! Now I get to work on my mothers pos grand pain in the but (@%$#!^&*+&$%^#@!).

Ok I got the grand pain in the but into the car port and start jacking it up but , (@%$#!^&*+&$%^#@!) the hood looks (hood is open to get the 3 bolts out that hold in the strut mouting bracket) is gonna hit my chain lift and load leveler . I let the car back down , back it up enough to not hit anything once jacked up. I finaly get it up on jack stands and get the tire off (yay) so that I can start on that darn strut. Ok I took the 3 bolts at the top out got the brake line hose bracket off , and got the two monster nutts at the bottom off. I was starting to think to myself "wow now this is just too easy" because all that was left to do was to take out the two bolts the them two "monster" nuts were bolted to . Well gess what I was right! Its now just around 4:00 , the place thats gonna take the spring off the old strut and put on the new one closes at 5:00 . I thought "no problem just gotta push them two bolts through them there holes" so after half a can of spray lube and 45 min. of hammering and wrenches falling off the bolts they were still on there (@%$#!^&*+&$%^#@!) . I spent 5 hours out side freazing my but off for nothing . When I get up in the morning I`m gonna try to get them bolts out , wish me luck!!!!

I hope y`all had a better day than me , what a way to start the week end .
