WARN Hubs - Conversion Kit Needed?
I have a 2000 F350 (see sig). I am converting from auto hubs to manual hubs. I purchased a pair of Warn manual hubs for about $160. The instructions that came with them state that if you are converting from Ford OEM auto hubs on a truck built after 1995, you must use a conversion kit. OK, I go back to NAPA and spend another $87 and buy the conversion kit. Those instructions say "not needed for trucks built after 1997".
My question is - Do I need the conversion kit for my 2000? I'd like to know before I tear into this thing.
