slight carb problem
hello, it had a leaky gasket but i changed that and it still stumbles when first cranked, warm or not. it keeps trying to die and unless i give it gas and rev it a couple times, it will. and i believe black smoke comes out when it starts. the choke is always open and i just replaced the air filter. the people i got it from said they rebuilt the carb. i think they may have misadjusted the float or something, what do you think.it also has a new pump and filter. it does not do it after every startup.

you should rebuild it again to be sure, find a manual on it to set the floats properly, then u might look at your timing, alot of people confuse poor engine performance with carb trouble, when its alot of the time its in the timing or valves.....
