Keyless Entry Pad - Lighted?

Keyless Entry Pad - Lighted?
It just dawned on me the other day....isn't the keypad supposed to be lighted? Did a search and didn't find any where this has been discussed. Seems I have seen them lighted on other fords before and mine is always dark.

It was just me I guess. Seemed when I got out the other day, I thought it stayed lighted up with the running board lights. But, I thought about it later, went back out and your right....soon as you touch a key, it works.
