push button NP203?
Does anyone have information, or any reasons why i couldnt make my NP203, converted with a Doug Nash Part Time Kit, into a push button 4 wheel drive? My plan so far is to use a worm gear assembly that is closely like the ones used to roll power windows up and down, to move my lock lever from lock, to unlock. Im thinking a worm gear like the ones for windows because they 'lock' and the lever wouldnt slide or gradually ride out of position. Its a pretty complicated idea, but ive been going thru possible ways to do it for the last few days. the lever would still select LO or HI, but the button and gear would 'lock' it in 4x4 if my hubs were engaged....anything i might be overlooking in my thinking and planning? BTW, its in a 79 250.
