Hitch Ratings?

Hi,
First I have to say that I have been reading fte for a while and have found it to be very informative and enjoyable. Thanks to everyone that has made this site what it is. I picked up my first psd last fri. 4x4, crew cab, lariat. I love the truck and it just seems to get better every mile I put on it. I checked the hitch yesterday and noticed that it is rated for 12500 only if it is being used with a weight distribution set up, it is only rated for 5000# pounds without. I pull a boat that is between 8500 and 10,000 pounds. (depends on how much gas is in it). I talked to the local camper supply at home and he said that he that there was a hitch made that is rated for 12500 without weight distribution for the 2004 but will be a couple months before it come's out for the 2005. Does anyone know of a company that already makes one for the 2005, and will the the hitch that is on it be ok to tow the boat home. (around 250 miles). I just wish that the dealer would have told me more about the hitch when I was buying, He told me it would work fine and was rated for !2500. Thanks in advance for help in helping me find the right hitch.
Ed

Thanks Tim,
Drawtite may have one that will work for me. I will call when I get off work and see if they do. Hidden-hitch says they have one for the 2005's but also state's that they will not fit if you have 17 or 18 inch wheels. I thought 17's were standard on the 2005 250's. Thanks again and if anyone know's, I would still like to know if the factory hitch will work if anyone knows or has towed with the factory installed hitch. I have a tongue weight of just under 600 pounds. Thanks.

if the boat your towing is between 8500 to 10,000 the tongue weight should be 7 to 10% of that otherwise it will cause the trailer to fishtail

Thanks for the reply. I have never had any trouble with it fishtailing, but it would be easy for me to move the boat on the trailer up a little to add some weight to the tongue.
