Speedometer Calibration
Greetings All
I'am new to this group and for the past five days I have been trying to read every post that concerns my vehicle......what a wealth of info from a great bunch of Ford owners.
I'am trying not to ask a redundent question but I just can't find the post that I came across about RPMs =MPHs.
I own a 2000 F 150..4.2.. 5 speed man..3.55gears and 285/75/16 BFG .
At 55mph my tach reads exactly 1800 rpm.
Is this in the ball park or does it warrent a speedometer calibration ?

You need to find someone that has a code reader and can also give engine specs while running. I had to do this on a Saturn and it turned out the speedo cluster was bad. Also helped me get out of a speeding ticket!!
