gauge wire hookup
i have two new auto meter gauges one oil pressure one volt, the instructions say hook the power wire to the ign. switch. which wire will be the best one, are there a better way (different wires)to hook them up too. thanks for your help. this is in a 1979 f250 4x4

well basicly they are telling you to connect the power to the gauges to the "Switched" side simply so when the ing switch is off so is the gauge. You should be able ( with a test light ) to find a switched sourse of power ( in some fuse boxes there are even blank areas you can tap into. Also you will want to tap off of your lighting circuit ( after the dimmer control ) for the lamps in the gauges.
