dark interior
I ordered a 250 KR last month but canceled the order as I was not happy with the color or the light carpet. I want a dark interior. I can get the sport which can come with black interior. Then I assume I will be able to swap out the black grill for the chrome which I want. Is this correct.

Both good ideas, thought of coloring carpet. May still do that if I go the KR route. Also thought of the bumpers but too costly to change those. Not sure why ford will not let you order dark interiors like chevy and gm does.

you should be able to get a good price on the xlt sport bumpers. there are alot of poeple that would like to change, possibly trading their chrome for your black bumpers.
one thing about the dark interior, make sure you have a flashlight. at night i sometimes cant find things because it is so dark, even with the dome lights on.

I tried to get the dark flint on the ford site where you can build your vehicle but it said not available with that model. Maybe I will have to play around with it to see how to get the dark grey.

I have an 03' with the dark flint interior - The truck is a sport package and it came with a chrome front bumper - don't know if it was orderd that way but I know it is the original bumper- the other thing with a sport package if you put in a nice set of stainless grill insets it really makes it look sharp with the painted grill- I do have a color matched rear bumber, wish it was chrome. If any one woud want to trade a chrome rear bumber for a charchol gray one let me know - look in my gallerie for photos

dhawk, I did the same thing, I wanted the dark flint interior so I ordered a sport which comes with painted bumpers. I bought chrome oem take offs on ebay fairly cheap, then posted my red painted ones on here and sold them after a month or so. The red grill with my chrome bumpers looks awesome.

Thanks furgburg and sle, I think I will order the sport and trade the grill and bumpers. It still has everything I want except for the elec sliding rear window, in the sport it only comes manual. Still wish I could get the lariat with the black interior.
