Motor Swap?
Hey, i need to know all the insides and out of takin an '87 ranger with a 2.3L and putting in a 302. if anyone can help with this it would be great. i need to know about motor mounts, trannies, rear ends, the whole sha bang. any details would be great. thanks

[font size="1" color="#FF0000"]LAST EDITED ON 19-Jun-01 AT 06:32 AM (EST)[/font][p]pick up a conversion manual from advanced adapters. u can get it from your local speed shop. the manual was a great help when i did mine ,I swapped a 86 2.3 injected with a 4sd std to a 87 302 carb with a C-4 auto , added tilt column , a 90 nose, and a explorer limited bumper cover, was a really fun and relatively easy project , took me about a month and a half to complete

These are a few sites I found for mine. 351W and 302 mounts the same, and the 302 fits a little easier, and has more parts to perform swap available. Good luck!
