factory headers are unequal length, but don't quote me on that.

Also, if it doesnt say equal length, theres a VERY STRONG possiblity that they are not equal length.

duh!

***edit
heres a pic i found on ebay, they are JBA's for a v8 f150

i think the UNTRAINED eye can tell that these are not equal length tubes.
but then again, i'm no master ford technician.....duh!

I'll bet you that is called a "header", not a "unequal-length header". I mean I have never heard some one say that term. You have it in for me, huh? Sigma is just stating the obvious to me. And no, you are far from a Ford Master Tech.

low, im just ridin you man, cuz.....well just cuz.
yes, that is just called a "header". Of course no one would call it an unequal length header.
That's like saying "non-cordless phone" instead of "phone".
Or saying "My not-pretty daughter" instead of "my daughter".
No one really wants to focus on the great things a product does not have.

And as far as you saying i'm not a ford master tech, you have no idea what my capabilities are. I'll let you slide on that one, since i really am not. But don't be so quick to judge.

Glad you are hanging in there bro, i admire your tenacity. Duh!

p.s. Sigma said unequal TUBES, referring to the tubes of the header. He didn't say "unequal length headers". That's something you made up, and is why you have never heard of it. It's okay, i make up things all the time. There really isnt a midget in my catlytic converters. (i made it up)

low,

The headers, like I said, are not listed on the website. There is no picture of them on the site...sorry. You have to call MAC at the contact number...then they will tell you first hand that there are and that they are $300.

Also, you've never heard of unequal length headers? You're kidding man? There are equal length and unequal length headers. Equal length headers are better due to the fact that all the tubing is the same "length" and unequals aren't as shown above.

Are you really a Ford Master Tech, or are you just bs'in? I'm a bad mechanic, but crap! I heard of unequal length headers when I was like 10! Oh well, it's all good man, we know you drive a Ford so in that aspect, you're alright.

Joe said it by questioning him being a Ford Master Tech, but damn, give him some credit....

unless....He's a Chevy, nay, HYUNDAI driver!!!

I actually work as a mechanic, I'll admit I'm no Ford Master Tech.

But i know that electric superchargers are garbage and i know what unequal length headers (commonly known as "headers") are.

Duh!

Low, i'm just ridin' ya again. you're gonna have to forgive me. Stress on the "your gonna have to"

LOL!!!

hey, back to headers, i was thinking last night.

get some shorty's off of a stang, install them backwards with a custom y-pipe, and BOOM! throw on a turbo, more custom piping, and then start driving really fast.

Whos gonna try it?

Actually low is considered a kia or geo, although I must admit the Geo storm 5spd with the DOHC 1.6L had some pep, laong with killer gas mileage.

Yea, I'd like to have a Geo just as an extra car...for gas mileage. But then again I'd get made fun of like no one else and people would spit in my face, punch me in the face as I walk by them, and bash out my windows with a baseball bat.

Consequences, consequences....

But then again, I could fit it in my bed and just drive it around to feel cool.

I drive a 01 F-150 4.2L manual, lowered 3 inches, XLT supercab two tone deepwedgewood blue/silver. I am (well for 2002 and 2003) a Ford chassis master. I don't work for Ford anymore. So technically, I am not a Ford Master tech anymore.
I am trying to get my scanner to work so I can scan a pic of my truck. BTW, headers that are not equal length suck.

lowered three inches all around? You still have a crazy rake then? I just dropped mine 2 inches in the rear.

is that why your name is low? Look at my gallery, i've got pictures of trucks on airbags that i dont even consider low. Low is dragging frame, dragging rocker.

Also, headers that are not equal length suck? DUH! of course they do, that is what we've been saying since the beginning of the post. we just got side tracked explaining that "unequal length headers" are actually headers that are not equal length.

i'm a Ford Master Bait. senior cheif mechanic. super wrench guy. awesome tire buster. dynamic wheel balancer. stupendous automobile fixer.
