Hey ya'll. I'm new to the board and am looking at the possibility of a diesel as my next truck. I currently have a '93 Lightning, and am on the NLOC site frequently. The L will be paid off, soon as I sell my house, and am looking for another truck as a driver and road-tripper with a 7x16 enclosed trailer (also soon to be purchased) for the race bikes. I am considering a Powerstroke for the advantages of milage with a heavy load and power levels compared to a gas engine. I also like the added comfort of braking ability of a F-250 or F-350 over a F-150. As an E-5 in the Navy, I'm not able to spend 6 or 7 hundred dollars a month on a new truck payment, and the equity from selling my current house is allowing me to do alot I never would otherwise, so I was looking primarily at the 95-97 F350 crewcab dually, or a 00-02 F-250/350 SRW supercab or crewcab. My main questions to start are avarage torque and HP levels and fuel milage for both, loaded and unloaded. And what are some less expensive mods for either. Does anyone know if there is a drop kit for the 95-97 dually? Thanks for the help. Talk to ya again soon.
