ford 9 " brake conversion.
I am trying to decide which kind of disc brakes and the best brakets to use. I could really use help with drawings or technical info on the swap from drum to disc. I am using a ford 9 " that is 57 inches backing plate to backing plate. Is this too narrow?

Hey Sara_James, I have the Explorer disc brake kit from Currie on my 9". You can see a picture in my gallery. I can't vouch for wether they are better or worse than anything else. I also got an emergency brake cable kit from Currie which are actually Lokar. I was able to use the front half of the stock e-brake system and connect the cables to it. I would have to do some measuring to give you my opinion on the 57".
