ok, does the 302 and the 300 have the same bolt pattern, where it bolts to the transmission?

 

They have the same bell housing pattern. The tranny to bell pattern depends on the bell. Many fords are the same, but you must check to be sure.

Bell depth also varies, I think truck bells are deeper. Again, gotta watch for that.
