intake blews
hey peeps- I just recently had a intake replaced om my 02 expo/ 5.4 three thousand miles ago. i went to check my oil before a trip last week and there was a sludge of some in the oil cap. My son told me it was due all of the coolant not being flushed out of the system when they did the intake. the shop told me there is 1150 hydrocarbons comming out of the radiator cap and that a head gasket is the problem. I have no oil in coolant- no loss of coolant- no coolant in oil and the thing runs like a million bucks. Just looking for a little advice on what to do. thanks

There is a normal amount of moisture condensate that can build up on the oil cap. If you arent losing coolant and everything has been running great, just clean the cap and forget it. Naturally if you are due an oil change take care of that as well.
