I am new to the club. I am seeking some advice. I currently drive an 01 F150. So far I have put on dual exhaust, throdd. body spacer, cool air intake, and have a hypertech prog. So whats netxt? Any reccomendations? Would headers do anything for me? What does everyone think?
Looks like you are ready for the next level... Some headers would be nice, but for the big gains you will need to dig in and swap out the cam and valve train. Then while it's apart, a new set of heads should go on and now your cookin'. By the way, what motor and trans do you have there....
where exactly can you buy internals and heard ans what not for these trucks,
i also have an 01 5.4 and i would like to tear in to that motor and see what i can get out of it n/a, any suggestions would be nice, and links
Try checking out Summit Racing Equipment or Jegs Racing. They both carry alot of internals for the Windsor motors including most of the popular aftermarket heads. I would call Comp Cams directly and get a recomend on the cam and then you can order that through summit also.
