I've got a strange problem with my E-150. When I'm stationary, And I move in to drive, I get a whinning noise come from the transmission. If I pull away, it increase in pitch and volume, and continue's to make the noise in to second gear, but the noise stops when in 3rd and 4th.
It doesn't make the noise in reverse, neutral or park, only in the forward gears.
There's no vibration's or rattles or anything, just a whinning. Any idea's please? I'm in the UK so my local garage won't know
I've heard that these symptoms on an E40D might be the front and rear planetary gears, would it lightly be the same on a A4LD?? Only makes the noise in 1st and 2nd hears
