I am new to this website. I see that this is the one-stop-garage website. I have a 2000 Lincoln Navigator that has a trouble code of P1451. I took it in to the dealer and they claimed there was nothing wrong and was charged $174.38 for troubleshooting. The next day the same code was detected. So I took it back and they claimed they detected the problem and repaired it with no charge (yeah, they already had 174 dollars for troubleshooting the day before). Later that day the CEL came on with the same code. Can anyone help me out with this problem. Your assistance is greatly apprieciated.
P1451 EVAP Control System Canister Vent Solenoid Circuit Malfunction
Not sure if this will help but looks like this is located on the left frame rail behind the fuel tank. Never had reason to check mine so just going by what the manual says. Good luck.
Thanks for the information. I had a talk with the dealer's repair guy and he told me that since I have 23 inch rims and tires, they rubbed a harness that pertains to the EVAP system and damaged it. The thing is, the tire do not touch anywhere. He also told me that all systems check 4.0 including the canister.
