16.5 wheels

Will 16.5 wheels fit on the 2004 F-150?

Any reason why you would consider that size? Tires that size are a pain to find these days. Plus, I do not think they would clear the rotors and calipers.

I don't think they are all that hard to find for ag applicatins but for highway use I would have to agree. Unless there are still alot of commercial trucks using them which I don't think there are as most of those are probably 19's or 20's.

I read some where on here (maybe the 68-72 trucks) that the 16.5 tires are slowly going to go away. I could be mistaken tho.
Also I was told the 17's are required to clear the calipers as mentioned earlier.

I had a thought if I was able to purchase an '05 to run 16's for better MPG but can not.

I've just seen a lot of F-250's running that size in my home town in Alabama. I was just curious.
