I was looking at the Rapid adjustable head hitch on e-bay tonight, they look pretty good hitches for what I need (moving trailers around an RV dealers lot).
Aluminum construction, 1500lbs tongue weight, reversable 2" + 2 5/16" ball, quick pin connections. Average price around $140 including shipping (new).

I hope you get some replies here as I'm considering one of those also. They look great. I wonder if they are as strong as they say being made from Aluminum? Space age aluminum no doubt.
If the trailers you'll be moving require a ball mount with different drops, then this is definitely the type of ball mount you need. I've seen cheaper-priced ones (steel), so it all depends on how many $$$ you wanna spend and if the looks matter.
I have the 10 inch drop version because I have a lift and it works great. Looks really good, won't rust, and is lighter. I would recommend the locking pin set for it because it is definitely an attention getter and you don't want it walking away.
Ok thanks. I'm getting a new F-250 any day now and also have a new 20 ft flatbed car hauler ordered.
Haven't done much towing and when I did didn't care as long as the trailer followed. They say it's importand to keep trailer level and I'm not sure how this could always be done with a non adjustment ball mount. At times I may have a load on the truck sometimes not so it could be lower or higher.
I like the looks of the Rapid Hitch and I guess if they say they are rated for 10,000 lb they should be plenty strong for my 6-7000 pound towing. Being aluminum I have wondered "can they really take it?"
Thanks for your comments.
