Question tires

would 32/ 11.5/ 15's fit on a stock 81 f-150 4wd?
I've seen them on an early 90's f-150 2wd, since they are the same frame and suspension they should fit with no problem right?

thanks for any input

I think you need a 2.5" lift to run those. I think 29" is as large as you can go without lifting. I know you need to lift 4" for 33" and 6" for 35s.

EDIT - Just googled it and found this chart........

Good Luck,

A 31x10.5x15 is the biggest you can go before the tire start to rub, a 33x9.50x15 will fit with a leveling kit. (There's a few local ex-city trucks that are running this setup)

Running 31/10.5/15's here, and trust me, they suck for gas mileage, and make steering a bit of a chore as well. Depending on what you're looking for here, look for something narrower. I'd like a 30-31/9.5 inch tire myself. the 31's are just a bit to wide for my tasts and average driving. Chances are I'll go back to stock 235/75/15's considering most of my driving is done on road between here and work.

I ahd 31x10.50x15's on my 84 and yes they do suk for gas mileage. The whee stop was gone on the drivers side and it wold rub the frame, 32x10.50's would definetly rub, not sure about the 9.50's but they probably would too.

I have 31x10.50s on my 84, they did rub the radius arms when it was stock until I backed out the stop bolts on the back side of the steering knuckles. This past July I installed a 2.5 inch Rough Country suspension lift, and looking at it I think I could run 33x12.50s with the stock aluminum rims. I think it might rub a little on the radius arms at full lock. I plan to install a 2 inch body lift probably next year when I do the gear and front differential swap. ( 4.10s with a Spicer Trac Lock, already have Powertrax No-Slip in the rear) I have a set of 15x10 wagon wheels I want to mount a set of 33x13.50 Super Swamper LTBs on for playin in the mud. You should have no serious problems with 31s, other than you would lose a couple mpg depending on what gearing you have.

I ran (beat) an '84 short box for years with 32 x 11.5's. The only difference I noticed was some superficial rubbing on the radius arms at full lock.
