Question

Porting ?s on c4Ae FE heads

I see a lot of people talking about suggestions for porting the intake ports on FE heads. However, what about the huge lip at the end of the exhaust port where the port meets the deck? Should I eliminate that lip?

You mean where the port meets the outside of the head?

Yes, where the exhuast port meets the outside of the head.

I'd just polish out the casting bumps there. It creates an anti-reversion effect there. Limit your enlarging to a little farther in the port. As always, make everything a nice smooth transition.
