valve specificaitions
I am in the process of rebuilding a 300 head and want to upgrade to larger valves. Does anyone know where I can locate valve specs for all makes of engines. (Ford, Chevy etc.) Currently, my intake is 1.783 dia, 4.813 long. The exhaust is 1.564 dia, and 4.814 long. I want to install 1.94 intake and 1.64 exhaust, but would like to keep the original length. Where can i find a chart that lists all makes of valve specs?

You'd be wanting SBC valves same stem diameter. Little longer but thats about as close as your gonna get, they are still shorter than the SBF or most others, stock or aftermarket.
Are you using an efi or carbed head? EFI valves are shrouded in stock form, so w/t larger valves you'd need to consider loss in compression when you grind the combustion chamber back to increase flow around the valve...just a thought.......later
