Have any of you put driving/off road lights on the top of your cab? I saw a picture in a magazine of a Hummer with a VERY low profile light rack that looked very sexy. I've searched google but can't seem to locate this low profile rack. Maybe I could attach the low profile Hella Xenen lights to the top of the luggage bar - 8 should do the trick!
You may want to perform a search here for "clearance lights." Several X-folks have done this mod. Me? I'm waiting for some extra cash so I can buy the Ford OEM sun-visor with integral clearance lights like the one that comes on an F350 Lariat model ... about $800.
Hi nanuke1,
I have the same idea...and plan to put a Wildernes Rack (http://www.premiermotoring.net/cgi-b...56104530515.39) on my Excursion in the near future - both as a platform for lights as well as storage for long trips. But the lights I plan on putting on are far from "low-profile"...I plan on adding a couple 9" LightForce lights. I have two on the bumper now but like most things automotive, I want more!
Found the perfect light, the Hella Micro DE Xenon Light kit for only $699.00 per light. Lets see, if I buy 6 of these and mount on cab that will only cost me $4,200.00. Awesome and way out of my league!
