Chrome Trm ???
Has anyone removed the chrome trim, mid level on a 76 XLT? I'm begining to pull everything down to do some minor body work & paint and one piece needs to be replaced but I'm not sure how to remove it. Does it pull straight off or slide on clips? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you talking about the chrome/rubber in the body groove ?
There are screws at numerous places behind the chrome.
1) Behind tail-light
2) Front of box
3)1st clip from the front & rear on the length of chrome.
After that you can USUALLY unclip it with a putty knife.
