360 - 390
how can i tell the difference between a 360 and a 390? i was thinking about the 73 f100 i looked at and i thought it maybe a 360. would the 390 be the more common engine in this model or might it be a 360? as far as i know all the blocks say 352 on them a they look the same.........

they all look the same from the outside.
360s are very common. A safe bet for a gambling man. To get the truth you need to measure the stroke.
3.5 = 360 or 352 (352 less likely, they stopped production in 67)
3.78 = 390
