Hey everyone! Need some help. Have a loose grill that does not fit any of my books. Closest match is the 63 with the 5 verticle bars. Mine only has 2 bars. Here is a picture of my grill and then the grill like in the books. I see some of the pictures of the 63s on this site show my grill but most of them show the same grill as in the books with the 5 bars? Any ideas?
this is the one I have;
and this is the one like in the books;
hope the pictures show up
you're not wrong. the outside 2 and center are only paint on the horizontals. it's an illusion. I thought only the polished aluminum (or whatever it is) grille was painted like that?
The hood is a broad panel in front of the windshield you must look across when driving. I'm annoyed by the glare and stuf a bright sunny day causes and It used to get me cranky among other things. A long long time ago, maybe in '74 or '75 I painted the stamped Inset area Matte Black, like a Mustang or Grabber Maverick had.
From inside all the glare vanished from before my eyes. . . the illusion is the inset looks much deeper and more sculptured when it contrasts in a flat or matte color and has some tasteful stripes to accent it. People thought I stamped my hood, NOT.
I've done a few more that way since then. Not for the illusion, for the glare and the Glare is no illusion, for me anyway.
