88 ford ranger
Got a 88 Ford Ranger with a 2.3. Every now and the it act up by idle going up and down. Shut and restart it and its fine for a while again. Changed plugs,wires, fillters and even TPS but still does it. Any Ideas

Haven't got no codes and far as I can no no vacum leaks. Did find out that part of the problem for it staliling was the switch on the passanger side floor for the gas switch was faulty so I bypassed it and now all it does is now and then is idle irracticaly.

I would take a closer look for vacuum leaks and cleaning the IAC.
DON'T bypass the inertia switch, if your in an accident, have a broken fuel line and trapped, it's not a good thing, the pump will empty the tank all around you.
