the guy wants to know if its for air brakes or hydrolic brakes.... Does it matter what one we would need? And if this guy has a lot i will be willing to help some folks out..... Only thing is i need to know which one to choose from..
How much should i pay for one at this place, this guys prices seem kinda steep ranging from 100-200 dollars... I was thinking like 40-60... anybody know?
trickf100 you can take a gauge cluster out of an older model f600 and replace the old sweeper gauge in our trucks. it actually has circle gauges instead of the sweep speedo. bolts right in and looks great. somebody on here actually has some pics of one done and looks good.
im not sure about the braking system, whether or not that makes a diff. not sure of the price either. im looking for one myself. have you looked on ebay yet? good luck man.
I've seen a couple on F500's with air pressure gauges mounted on the left. Maybe he means do you need one with that particular gauge present for monitoring air pressure?
If thats what he means and you have an F100-350 you won't need it unless you just want to see it sit there. I know I've seen stock F600 vacuum gauges that fit that hole which might be more useful than a pressure gauge to you. I dunno...

what are you talking about with the air pressure? I'm not sure if you might have been talking about me when i said do they need to be guages from a truck that has air, or hydrolic brakes. Thats what the guy asked me when i was on the phone. he asked "does your rig have air brakes or do they have dydrolic" but he was referring to the big f500 and above... not our trucks. If your talking about something else disregard this message... haha
well, our brakes are technically hydrolic right?well,i dont think it matters,if ya'll want to see a pic of the gauge set up look in my gallerie, mine is set up with it
I was talking about the gauge bezel. I bought one from an F-500 but mine is black background with chrome rings around the round openings. I like yours with the all-shiny finish.
i went and checked out the place, there werent any that really stood out from the rest. all were pretty rusty, but not too rusty.. How much should you pay for one with the guages. Some are with tach, some without. How much with, how much without? Or would those tachs even work?
I think that the air pressure comments were in reference to an air brake system if any....that is a guage that reads the PSI of the air brake system....You would NOT need this...tell him you have hydraulic brakes. A good way to check prices is to look up the item on Ebay then switch over the "show only completed (or finished) listings" This will show the how much the same item sold for over the last month...especially with ebay, the price can be much less on an item that ends in the middle of the night or on a monday morning vs. one that ends during the evening or on a saturday.
I was wondering if anyone has hooked the vaccum gauge up to the secondaries on there 4brl carb? Would this be a way to tell when you secondaries are kicking in?
