I bought a new mechanical fuel pump and I hooked it up in a hurry and I put the fuel lines on the wrong places, I then fixed the problem but still no fuel.
I have a clear filter before and after this fuel pump. '71 429. I rotated the engine so the fuel pump eccentric would allow easy assembly so I don't thing I messed that up unless the eccentric is loose. Any help appreciated hope this isn't too stupid.
Try priming the pump. It may be dry and is having a hard time picking up fuel from the tank. Take the fuel line loose from the carb and (very carefully) pour a little bit of fuel in the line. No need to fill the line to the top, just enough to wet the pump. Maybe four or five tablespoons full.
