94 Expl. chip upgrade?

Anyone done an aftermarket chip upgrade? I am considering doing this to my 94 manual, and was wondering if it's even worth it. I've already done the intake and exhaust. What's your input?

what type of intake and exhaust did you put on your truck and how well does it perform?

I removed the factory intake/filter box, and installed a 3in cone-type hi flow filter. Similar to K&N, but a hell of a lot cheaper. On the exhaust side, I removed the original muffler, and welded up a free-flow turbo, with larger outlet diameter. With these mods, I picked up a little bit more acceleration, with better tonality (it actually sounds like a man's 4x4)

I have a '93 that I added a K&N type filter, magnaflow cat-back exhaust, 66mm throttle body and 70mm MAS and noticed quite a bit of difference. I would definately recommend the larger TB and MAS. I then added an ***** chip and noticed another slight increase. IMHO I thought it was worth the $$$.

hey inthedirtagain...
Where did you find the 3in cone- type filter? I've looked and can't find one for under 200 bucks!

Not for the Explorer and the 1994 is OBD1 which needs to be chipped
