The best thing I've ever used for repairing a headliner is a heat gun. You can find one in most hobby shops or sometimes even Pep Boys. What happens when your factory headliner starts to fall is the factory glue becomes dry and the material releases itself from the glue's grip. Use a heat gun on low to medium heat blowing the headliner (actually blowing THROUGH the material) and heating up the glue on the headliner board. Then use a credit card with light pressure working from the center to the outside of the headliner. This is an important part of the repair since it keeps you from getting wrinkles in the finished product. Once you get to the edge, tuck the extra material (caused from the fabric having stretched over time) under the headliner board. This should re-stick the material to the backing board and, in my experience, lasts for quite a long time. Good luck!
