I have a 98'Ranger splash with a 4.0 lit. engine I've added headers and borla exhaust and I'm trying to find a supercharger for it. Does anyone know of a company that offers this ?
I beleive paxton used to make them but I think they are discontinued now. I'm sure there are a few people or shops that have one laying around that are willing to part with it. I saw one on ebay a couple of months ago.
People who say it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it.
Check out Summit, they have a BBK Supercharger ($2699.95) for your application. Suppossed to add 40-50% increase in hp and torque. Who know, bet it make that truck a whole lot of fun though. Price may seem high, but that is about average for a forced induction system.
Look up ATI procharger they just might have something for you 4.0. Good luck with your truck
? 98 splash. Never herd of or scene a 98 splash. Is the splash emblem have the little wave be hind it. Otherwise the 97 was the first year you could get the stepside with out it beening a splash.
I understand your intent. I seriously considered putting a blower on my old 88 2.9l. What you run into is $$$$$$$$$$$. It then becomes easier to install a V8 in the truck but then for the amount of $$ you will spend, you could've bought a nice full size and wouldn't have something that is cobbed together.
But if it is not going to be a daily driver and you are doing it for the fun of it. Go for it.
