Slotted Rotors advice please ?????

I got a 96 f 150 2 wheel dr supercab short bed 302 auto. I just looked at the front brakes and they are needing replaced. I am wondering about getting a set of slotted or drilled performance rotors for it and a good set of ceramic pads( or is there something better) . Has anyone here bought a set of rotors and if so did it help you stop better or is it not worth the extra money. I will be doing some towing with it so I thought it may help with that too. I found rotors at JC Whitney but am wondering if there are better ones out there or if they are ok. They offer free shipping through the 8 of Dec. so I need to order soon. Any advice greatly appreciated...

Also they ask if my truck has all wheel anti lock brakes or only rear anti lock brakes... How do I tell what I have. I just got the truck and to be honest I did not think it had any anti lock brakes..

I put a set of Raybestos Brute-Stop rotors on mine, they work awesome.... truck stops like a car... they took a litle bit to reach their potential (about 600 miles) .. Also I have the Quietstop ceramic pads.. Everything was pretty expensive but I think it was worth it just to have that extra stopping power there when I need it... I don't think they used 4 wheel abs in 96 but I could be wrong.. Look for a small wire harness routed with the front brake hose that goes to a small speed sensor on the inside of the front rotor.... If there's no wires in there with the brakes, you just have rear abs... hope this helps..
