Blower Heater Switch/Cable Problems

I post a similar problem in my truck model year forum, but had no sucess. I have an 89f-150 supercab, no AC. My blower switch for my heater/ferost/vent only works in high or off. I tested the switch it is fine. the cable appears to be broken/fried. I would like to know if anyone can walk me through the steps or have the schematics for the wiring of that model year. Is there another way to get power to the blower from the fuse panel then to the blower??
Please help.

Sounds like you have to different problems. The cable goes from the lever to the air door in the heater, follow the cable and confirm that it is broken or come loose. The blower problem sounds like the resistor pack. There is a set of resistors that mount into the duct work (to keep them cool) - these resistors change the fan current giving you the different speeds. Follow the wiring from the switch to the resistors and test for power.
