Step up Bar

I have F350 with nerf bars. I would like to find something like the bars to put on truck behind the cab and in front of the rear wheels so I can reach up in bed to unlock trailer hitch. Anyone have suggestions?

You might not like doing this or it might still be to high to actually help but I remember seeing back in the 80's where you cut a half circle with the flat part on the bottom into the sheetmetal. Then there was an aluminum cup insert (for lack of a better description). Then you could just put your foot in inside the hole and step up.
