The only advise I can give is to make sure that your visit was documented at the dealer. Even if they say there is no problem now, the fact that you found problems before warranty was out there was indeed a fault with their product. You see, dealers don't make money by repairing your truck under warranty but they will tell you everything is ok until your first visit after the warranty is up and then, and only then will they find many things to repair at your expense. Your truck may have "sweating" leaks common to extreme temperature changes or harsh driving but if you take it to a dealer and they refuse to satisfy you contact Ford customer relations or find another dealer to service your truck. You did not state how many miles your truck has on it. If your powertrain warranty expires at 36,000 miles and you take it in at 35,999 miles with a complaint of transmission slipping and they tell you that they have no openings for service until next week they are obligated by law to repair your vehicle regardless of if you exceed 36,000 miles. I hope this helps, been there, done that. Sorry to here about your "lemon", they don't make them like they used to.
2000 3.0l, 4x4 I put 35k on.
2001 4.0l, 4x4 I have 23k on.
Never had leak one. Love both trucks. Can't say the same about dealerships though. As a matter of fact, the dealership I bought the last one from, Ford pulled their ticket because of customer complaints (and they were scr*wing Ford on warranty work). Contact Ford if you don't get satisfaction, and don't put it off.
BTW, glad I got the 4.0l engine this time. With the 3.0l it was just too underpowered.
