Head Bolt Question
The Shop Manual for the 53 F-100 shows a special lift bracket used to hook a chain to and pull the 215 six off the frame. It looks like a pretty staright forward thing to fabricate myself. This lift bracket bolts to the motor at two points by removing two cylinder head bolts and, using longer bolts, attaching the bracket to the head. My question: after the care taken in torquing the head bolts down in proper sequence to the proper toque specification, does removing two of them and then later putting them back create any problems? For what it's worth, the bolts which would be extracted and replaced are two not under the valve cover and each is the third one in from their respective ends.
