Hello everyone, I'm new to the site and a proud owner of an 2000 F250 4x4 V10.
I need some help with the trailer running lights. Truck has the factory tow package, relays, fuses etc. I have the ford brake controller wiring harness with 5 wires going to a 4 wire controller. The brown wire from the harness is for trailer running lights. Where do I pull power from for this conections? The trailer running lights don't work with only the 4 brake controller wires connected.
the brown wire on the trailer controller harness is for illumination of the controller (if needed) your running lights have nothing to do with the controller hook up and neither do the 2-30 amp fuses or the relays that come with the trailer tow kit. you frist need to check fuse #'s 4, (20 amp mini) and 8 (15 amp mini) in the under hood fuse box. if thats not it then start tracing wires.
