PDL switch replacement
The driver side power door lock switch on my '98 XLT has died. Looks like a door panel removal job. I see 2 screws below the door handle. Are the rest of the fasteners the barbed plastic jobs? How do I remove this panel without destroying it?

If it's like my 2002, you take out the 2 screws, and some of the door handle (inside) trim panels sorta pop out.. .then I can just lift up by the inside handle, and the whole thing comes out... it may be a little different on your 98. I'd suggest a subsctiption to alldata.com... that's how I figured mine out.

After you take the screws out, use a wooden spatula to mpry the door lining off , slowly or you will break the studs. Just remove the panel that holds your window controls and disconnect the harnesses... cheers from canada.
