motor upgrade!!
Hey there,i have a 88 ranger with a 2.9 v6. I was wondering if i could drop in a 4.0 or a 4.2 v6 without alot of modifications? Only because with 31" tires and a 3" body lift this truck needs a little more boost. any help??? thanx............Rich

Try a 302 then! I did. Advance adaptors has kits that make the swap almost a easy bolt up operation. If you have the 3" body lift than the hard part is done already!
