excessive box rust

excessive box rust
my 77 f-150 has some major rust on the drivers side of the box...the fender is like 3 inches bigger than on the good side and the back half is rusted fairly well too. should I bother trying to fix it or jsut going and buying a new box?

I have the same choice to make on my 82 F100. My bed has alot of rust in it. But I would really like to save it. You could put new sides on it if the inside of it is in good shape. Or you could buy the pieces to fix just the rust and weld them in. Post some pictures if you can.
