Where is the keyless entry computer located? I just bought a like new 04 screw lariat, but I didn't get the entry code. I undestand the factory code is printed on a label on the computer.
On my '02 Lariat the 5 digit number is printed on a white module under the dash. If I open the driver's door, kneel down and place my right cheek on the brake pedal, I can look right up at it.
I couldn't get behind the rear seat on my Screw. I'm guessing the computer is not there. Looks like I'll have to visit my friendly neighborhood dealer. Thanks to everyone for the help.
It's been a few days since the last post, so you may have the problem solved. I too didn't get the code card when I picked up my truck. The dealer pulled the code from the trucks computer for me. It only took a few minutes.
Ford hasn't put keyless code stickers in any of their vehicles for at least 2 years. If the original selling dealer doesn't have it on file (we keep a record of all of ours with the original buyer's paperwork), then you'll have to have a dealer pull the code from the computer. There may or may not be a charge for this, depending on the individual dealership's policy. If you can live without the code for awhile, you've got a better shot of getting it pulled for free if you wait until the truck is in the shop for something else ("...oh, by the way, while you're rotating the tires and changing the oil...").
