Question trailer wiring

I hook up my construction trailer today behind my new 05 SD PSD and found that the inside lights on my trailer would only work with the ignition switch turn on. Can the middle terminal wire (7 wire connector) of the connector be change so it is hot at all times? I really don't want to leave the truck ignition on all day long. I know that I wired all of my other trucks so that this wire would be hot at all times. I always use a fuse to protect it from a short. Please help if you can.
Thanks

Ford correctly isolates the truck & trailer so that using power in the trailer has no chance of draining the truck batteries and leaving you stranded somewhere.

To bypass this, you'd need to run a circuit that energizes the "trailer charging" relay located under the hood. However, doing this may negatively impact your truck's warranty.

The easiest and "safest" thing to do is to install a battery in your trailer.
