Finally we got a good douse of the white stuff up here in u.p. michigan.. about 3-4 inchs and stil fallin. time to bust out the 4wd for more than playin in the mud!!!!!!!
I am originally from the U.P., I live in Virginia now. Sometimes I miss that snow but not for very long. I am from just west of Baraga, you? I'm still a Yooper at heart though.
Anyone on this Forum that feels "snow-deprived" just email me with your address...I got a ton of the white stuff in my back yard I'll send you free! LOL!
I NEED SNOW, SEND ME SOME SNOW. 3-5 FEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to go Snowwheeling in my new/old f150. Never been in the snow with it before, bet its scary! 85 (no abs)
I've nearly guaranteed that we won't get much snow here this year.....again.
My brother loaned me his humongous snowblower, since he doesn't use it anymore. Well, I can at least go out and start it now and then just to bug the neighbors.
We end up getting some snow last weekend in Omaha Ne. I was looking forward to it so I can see how my truck is going to get around too bad it melted already.
I'd challenge you all to move to Revelstoke, BC, Canada...they get up to 6 feet of the white stuff overnight, and tend to have the best snowmobiling in the country(IMO) but driving around can be a trick at times. The only way you can see the other side of the street is to come to an intersection...the snow piles on the medians are generally to high to see over.
Currently I hail from Winnipeg, MB. Snow can get pretty deep here as well, but it's the brutal cold that will get you most times. Hit a few weeks in a row of -60 celsius and colder. Was cold enough to snap my block heater cord just from picking it up to unplug my car last year....Anyone still want the white stuff?
mantta i am in the eastern end of the u.p. in a town called newberry. we usually don't see super cold up here but bein about 15-20 miles as the crow flies from lake superior we get plenty of lake effect about 4 feet is normal and some years over 6. excellent snowmobiling up here we have as many sled trails as we have roads.lol

No kidding about the sled trails, I thought those were roads up there. Snowmobiling has actually been kinda bad that last few years hasn't it? Not quite up to the usual levels. I miss livin up there, and watching people freak and lose their driving skills over a couple inches always makes me laugh.
Our record snowfall was in 1972 in the Copper Country part of the U.P. The seasons total snowfall was 391 inches. That is hard to top.123 michigan, I'm from a small town about 18 miles west of Baraga called Alston, no post office, no speed limit, no gas stations, only a bar. Small store and post office in next town, Nisula, MI.
